The annual Fall celebration commenced with our Cohort Dinner and Fall Board Meeting this week. Our junior and senior cohorts were on campus for residency and gearing up for an eventful year in the executive master’s program. Our Board of Directors also met on campus this week to discuss the future planning of our programs and the development of our Institute. Our board members, students, faculty, and alumni got to celebrate together at the Cohort Dinner with industry partners and guests which inspired memorable discussions and global networking that will shape our future. Here's a recap of the highlights:

🍸 Happy Hour🍸 Monday night we gathered for a delightful Happy Hour attended by the board, alumni, staff, faculty, guests, and students from both Cohorts 21 and our fresh faces from Cohort 23, who are just starting their journey with us this Fall! It was an excellent opportunity to unwind, catch up with old friends and colleagues, and welcome our newest colleagues to TSCI. The positive energy set the perfect tone for the following day's activities.

🍽️ Luncheon & Dinner Excellence 🍽️ The Joy Burns Center and the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management outdid themselves with the luncheon and dinner arrangements. The meals were not just delicious but also beautifully presented. Kudos to the fantastic teams behind these culinary experiences!

🎤 Inspiring Guest Speaker 🎤 We hosted our first live and in-person Transportation Talks, hosted by Michelle Livingstone, Executive Board Member and faculty of TSCI, joined by our honored guest speaker, Derek Leathers, Chairman, President and CEO of Werner Enterprises. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to Derek, who shared leadership expertise, insights, and thoughtful advice to the future leaders of the Industry.  Derek’s motivational words will undoubtedly guide us on our journey towards success. Special thanks to Michelle Livingstone for her impactful and thought-provoking interview.

The Board of Directors met on campus for the Fall Board Meeting to discuss the strategic plan and development initiatives.  We welcomed six new executives to the Board, representing BNSF Railway, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA), C.H. Robinson, PS Technology, FYX Fleet, and Wabash National Corporation.  TSCI's Board of Directors represent the most influential names in transportation, logistics, and supply chain, and their contributions have been immeasurable, providing a prestigious and unparalleled educational experience that continues to evolve with the ever-changing environment.

A special shoutout to Cohort 23, who are attending their first residency this week. We’re thrilled to have you onboard and can’t wait to witness your growth and future accomplishments!

Cheers to another year of developing the next generation of transportation and supply chain leaders!
