DTI Student Lucy Grasso Receives Women in Rail Recognition
DTI proudly recognizes one of its current students as a Women in Rail 2019 honoree! Lucy Grasso serves as Strategic Operations Principal at OmniTRAX. The honors, recently awarded by Railway Age, included 12 Women in Rail 2019. According to Railway Age, the women were honored because they “have been - and still are - moving their companies forward while making contributions to the community. In an industry typically dominated by men, these women are getting things done…”
Students at the Transportation Institute at the University of Denver are professionals dedicated to becoming rising leaders in their industry, and Lucy Grasso is no exception. She is a member of DTI’s current cohort of executive master’s students and a candidate for an MS in Transportation Management with a concentration in Supply Chain. Lucy and her classmates graduated in June 2020.
Lucy began her tenure at OmniTRAX in 2016 in the real estate department. In her current operations role, Lucy supports both rail and energy business lines in increasing operational effectiveness through the development and execution of OmniTRAX’s 5-year Strategic Operating Plan. Additionally, the Railway Age judges’ panel recognized that she “built KPI metrics into leadership and board reporting and developed targeted action plans to increase operational effectiveness against KPIs, including efforts to reduce employee turnover and safety incidents.” Congratulations, Lucy!
