TSCI Welcomes New Board Members
Highlights from the Board Development Meeting in Atlanta
TSCI's Board Development Meeting was hosted by The Home Depot in Atlanta this week. This is a time when we get to introduce our new board members, discuss opportunities for growth within TSCI's community and curriculum, and explore the industry. It is a pleasure to introduce Abby Anderson, Vice President of Operations at CMA CGM, Jack Mahoney, President and CEO of Westwood Shipping Lines, Jim Ward, President of Truckload Carriers Association, Ellen Kapiloff, Vice President of Operations at Lacoste, Brian Meents, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Hub Group, and Heather Sheehan, Owner of Crispy Concepts, LLC and former Executive Director of AWESOME. Read more about our board members here.
A special thing for the Insitute is that about 30% of the board are alums of the executive master's program. Anderson, Meents, and Mahoney, all represent Cohort 15! All of our new board members bring a wealth of knowledge to TSCI and their contributions are already felt. We look forward to introducing them to the two student cohorts on campus this Fall.
Every Spring, the board gathers off campus to experience supply chain, transportation and logistics in action. This year, we were WOWed by two essential logistics operations centers, the UPS Southeast Metro Automated Routing Terminal – SMART Hub, and The Home Depot Flatbed Delivery Center (FDC). A very special thank you to board members Jared Bonneville, Vice President West Region Marketing, UPS, and Travis Lawrence, Vice President Human Resources, The Home Depot, and their teams for organizing this incredible experience.
